A delayed start of blogging

Getting ready to return to coursework.. First term went well (got all A's). My research has been accepted for presentation at a national conference (Yeah!!!).

I am little nervous about the start of the term. Of course, I always have this anxiety until I have completed the first paper or other major assignment in each course. What else...

It was good to see everybody at St. Francis on Sunday. You know.. I see these kids (by kids I mean the undergraduates within the 18-22 age range) and I can identify with some of their anxiety. I hope they know college gets better after the first couple years. If there is any advice I can offer these kids, its OK not to party. Its OK to be an individual. Just because you don't follow the crowd doesn't make you weird. Fact, in most cases, it makes you much smarter. Ten-years from now these individuals will get what is coming to them. Karma has a way of evetually catching up to people. In the words of the late Civil Rights leader Malcom X, "The chickens have come home to roost".

On alighter note, I turn 29 next month and from here on out I will be 29 forever. Hope this term goes well.
